1. Do you sell direct to the public?
Yes we mainly supply to the end clients, by doing so we can ensure you get the best service and price. By cutting out the middleman and passing the savings on to you.
2. What is a template?
A template is an exact replica of the required worktops. Taking all accurate measurements of the kitchen units and cut outs for hobs and sinks, all the shaping and overhang required. This is then used to manufacture the worktops ensuring a precise and accurate cutting for a perfect work surface installation.
Beware of some companies who claim they do not need to template before fitting, and cut on site using mobile equipment on the installation day. Using hand held cutters and polishers in your kitchen or living room can often resort in having to chisel the walls and needing to scribe the back of the worktop edge to install the work surface. Resulting in very poor quality work surfaces plus a lot of dust, mess and noise.
A top quality worktop when finished to the highest standard requires accurate templating before installation. Our cutting and polishing is carried out on the latest precision machinery in a dedicated and bespoke manufacturing facility, ensuring a perfect fit and a superior finish.
3. What must I have on-site when you arrive to do the templating survey?
Before the survey you need to ensure all cabinets are level have sufficient braces and are secured firmly to the wall. Make sure you know the final location of sinks, hobs taps or any other fittings required and have these available on site. Please ensure after the survey cabinets are not moved as the measurements taken during the survey are crucial for a perfect worktop installation. Any changes after the survey can cause significant delays and incur extra charges.
4. I am just replacing my existing worktops, do they have to be removed before you template?
Yes, we need to template directly on top of the units so please have them loosened or removed. You can put them back on after we have templated and until the new worktops are installed. Also sinks, taps and hobs should all be disconnected before we arrive.
5. Can we plaster the walls after you have templated?
No, this needs to be done before templating. Tiling should be done after the worktops have been installed.
6. Do I need to be there when you template and install?
It is best if you are there when we template to answer any questions we might have. The same goes for fitting, so that you can confirm that you are happy with the finished product.
7. How long from the templating will it take to fit my worktops?
We normally deliver and fit worktops within 7-10 working days after the survey.
8. How can I get a quote?
Simply type your measurements with the preferred colour using our on-line quotation. Or if you prefer you can fax your kitchen plan with your contact details and we will be happy to give you a quote.
9. How do I place an order?
Once you are happy with the quote submit your details on the online quote page or fax your order. A member of staff will be in contact with you to confirm the order and arrange a survey.
10. When do I Pay?
An initial deposit of 40% is required on placing the order. The remainder of the balance is required on or before the installation date.
11. What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, cheque, bankers draft and BACS.
If you are making the payment on the day of installation we will only accept cash and BACS. If you are wanting to pay via cheque or bankers draft it must be sent to us before the day of installation. If you want to pay via BACS please ask us for the bank details.
